Summer is on the wane and our beloved sport will begin before we know it. I trust we are all getting our horses fit to prepare them for hunting which will begin on Saturday, August 28th. What better way to kick off the fall hunting season than to hold the Landowner's Barbecue on the first day of cub hunting.
The event committee will need help setting up, preparing side dishes and desserts, and clearing the grounds afterwards. ...more...

Dear Subscribers, Landowners and Supporters:
As we write this the weather has given us a tiny break and the first day of cubbing is less than a
week away. Having finished the season early last year due to the snow we would like to catch you up
on events through the Spring and Summer.
The Spring Point-to-Point was a success, having to be rescheduled several times it was well attended
and the community turned out to support the races. The Virginia Hound Show was sucessful
followed by our Puppy Show and a very successful Bryn Mahr Hound Show. The Annual Horse Show
was blessed with a beautiful day and lots of volunteers - we raised approximatley $4800. As the summer
has continued our trail rides have been very well attended by the community - each weekend we
have offered participants a beautiful part of Clarke County to ride across and enjoy. Many of you came
out for Hound exercise - getting horses fit and introducing them to hounds. ...more... |
The Century Club
By Friday (9/3) subscribers, social subscribers and landowners should have received their invitation to become a member of the Century Club - a new MAJOR fundraiser for the BRH.
There are 100 chances offered at $100.00 each. This will generate $10,000.00 - $7000.00 of which will go towards the budget and $3000.00 will be raffled off at three separate events ($1000 each).
