Horseback Trail Ride to Benefit the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center
April 2, 2009
A horseback trail ride to benefit the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center will be held on
SUNDAY, MAY 3RD AT 10 AM ON THE BURWELL-VAN LENNEP ISLAND FARMS.

This 3 mile ride along a mile of Shenandoah River features some of the most beautiful sights of spring. There will be dogwood and redbud in bloom, and fields of bluebells will be seen along the river. Eagles are often spotted in the grand sycamores that line the river, along with osprey and great blue herons. At the end of the ride there will be refreshments while riders visit with some of the education animals from the center.
Parking will be in the fields behind Tom Wiseman's farm, The Oaks, at 97 Tilthammer Mill Road.
Contact the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center at 540-837-9000 for more information on how to participate in this ride
We're also looking for help.....help guiding riders or setting up refreshments. We'll also be selling T shirts.
